Privacy Policy

VanVault is built for tradespeople who need a private, practical inventory of tools, serial numbers, values, photos, maintenance notes, and claim-support documents. MindSprout Studios does not sell personal data and does not use your inventory for advertising.
Information VanVault stores in the app
VanVault may store information you choose to enter, including tool names, serial numbers, categories, photos, values, notes, maintenance details, claim details, and exported claim-package information. This data is used to provide the app’s inventory, reminder, scan, and PDF export features.
VanVault is designed as a local-first app. Tool inventory data is stored by the app on your device. Depending on your device and Apple settings, app data may also be included in your device backups. MindSprout Studios does not operate a general VanVault account database for your inventory.
Photos and AI tool identification
If you use the AI-assisted tool identification feature, the selected tool photo is sent through MindSprout Studios’ secure proxy to an AI image-analysis provider so the app can suggest tool details. Use of that feature is optional. Photos submitted for AI identification are used to provide the requested identification result.
Purchases
VanVault Pro purchases are handled through Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat. MindSprout Studios does not receive or store your credit card number or App Store payment credentials. Purchase status may be checked so the app can unlock Pro features such as unlimited inventory, AI identification, and claim PDF export.
Diagnostics and app operations
Apple, Expo, RevenueCat, or related platform services may provide limited operational, crash, purchase, or diagnostic information needed to run, improve, and support the app. We use that information for app functionality, support, fraud prevention, and reliability—not advertising resale.
What VanVault does not do
- VanVault does not sell your inventory data.
- VanVault does not file insurance claims or police reports for you.
- VanVault does not guarantee insurance reimbursement or claim approval.
- VanVault does not require a MindSprout account to maintain a basic local inventory.
Deleting your data
Because VanVault is local-first, deleting items inside the app or deleting the app from your device removes the local app data controlled by VanVault on that device. Device backups may retain data according to Apple’s backup settings and retention behavior.
Children’s privacy
VanVault is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
